Time to celebrate Produce People

Produce people are a resilient, hardworking, hard driving generous bunch.

Happy Wednesday, sorry for the delay but a bulldozer doing construction next to my home ripped out my cable so no internet for a while.

If you read my profile you would know that I started my produce career, selling produce from a pushcart on the streets of NYC. I also attribute much of what I know to the 40 plus years I spent in the Hunts point market. To this day I travel at least once a month to my old stomping ground to keep my finger on the pulse of the produce business and to continue my education. If you have ever visited this market you know it’s not for the faint of heart. The men and women of Hunts point are hard charging, hard working people but you will never find a more resilient, big hearted, more generous bunch anywhere else. The 2 links attached to this posting will bear witness to what I state. Steve Katzman, whom appears in one video exemplifies the heart of the Hunts Point market. Steve is a lifelong friend of over 40 years, was the best man ant my second wedding and is one of the 3 owners of Top Katz. Please listen to my video and click on the links

So we can all have a feel good Wednesday.
